Awards & Recognition

“Awards are things which bestow recognition on a select few. They are alluring yet desirable for the sheer mileage they assure. But I was never inclined to work towards winning awards or lobbying for them. I do what I believe in and success comes by itself. Awards, recognition, rewards, applause…all these are on the peripherals of my world. They are the fringe benefits which come by when you work hard with dedication. I have won many awards through my career and I thank all those people who thought me to be worthy of them. The reason why I extend unstinted support to charity activities is not the lure of awards; it’s a strong innate belief which says that "A life not lived for others is not a life lived at all". Awards, fame and recognition are things which society bestows on us as a token of appreciation and mark of distinguished recognition. Though I don’t crave for them, I have the utmost respect for them.”
